Programme outline

JUNIA’s International Preparatory Course (IPC) is a foundation course of JUNIA’s five-year engineering program at HEI or ISEN. Open to both French and international applicants, the IPC is 100% taught in English and includes courses in science, humanities, and project management, with the option to specialize in mechanical engineering or IT in the 2nd year. Students also benefit from the unique opportunity to spend the third year of the IPC abroad in a partner university. Upon completion of this preparatory program, students are eligible to join the engineering programs at JUNIA HEI or JUNIA ISEN to earn a Master of Science and Engineering (diplôme d’ingénieur).

two years in France, in English

The first two years take place in France at JUNIA’s campus in Lille and are taught entirely in English. In addition to building a solid theoretical foundation, students are active in their education with project-based learning. Through group work in programming, project management, business practices and mechanical engineering, students develop their relational skills as well as their scientific knowledge. Completed in intercultural teams, these projects give students a realistic preview of what it’s like to work in a globalized world.

The first year gives the students a base of knowledge and skills in engineering science, mathematics, human relations, and project management. The second year builds on this foundation and introduces more specialized modules in IT or mechanical engineering to acquire the prerequisite skills for an engineering degree at JUNIA.

JUNIA assists students in identifying their personal and professional goals in order to help them choose their Year 2 specialization, the ideal international partner university for their 3rd year abroad, and the engineering specialization at ISEN or HEI for their return to France in Year 4. This tailor-made training gives students power over their future.

Students can choose to continue their 3rd year abroad at one of the JUNIA partner universities.

Depending on their specialization, they have a range of options in the USA, Mexico, Argentina, Germany, Spain, Thailand, India, Italy, Jordan, Austria and more.
